In Finland there are proportionately more members in cooperatives than in any other country in the world. The memebership of cooperative enterprises in Finland amounts to well over 5,4 million (the population of Finland is 5,2 million inhabitants). Today Pellervo integrates about 390 member cooperatives. Most Pellervo´s member business are market leaders in their respective fields. Pellervo includes both consumer and producer members and the association representing the increasing numbers of new cooperatives.
