The Pellervo cooperation
Member associations
Member companies
Our member companies and organisations,
publications and services have made Pellervo famous in the Finnish society.
The Pellervo co-operatives have about 1,3 million members in
Finland - where is no more than 5 million inhabitants in total. We have both
producer and consumer member cooperatives.
There are approximately 340 cooperative organizations
belonging to Pellervo Confederation of Finnish Cooperatives.
We offer ideological support and function
both as a service center and an opinion leader within the cooperative.
In recent years hundreds of new smaller cooperatives (about
1100 in the beginning of 1998) have begun their own work towards the solving of
the many issues concerning working life and services and marketing, as well as
other issues dealing with the business world in general. Our cooperative
philosophy is to do business within our society of networks in a personalized
manner.
